Balancing Act

Becoming a new mom has required a lot more strategic planning than I first imagined. Everything from a quick grocery run to a weekend road trip means planning that sometimes rivals that needed for the D-Day invasion. I also work part time as the director of children's ministry for my church, and thankfully most of it can be done from home. But that means squeezing tasks in while laundry is going, dinner is in the oven, and Jadyn is either napping or swinging contentedly in the next room. I'm beginning to feel like a circus juggler. At least I'm not tossing running chainsaws in the air!

I wish I could tell you that it gets easier, but I'd be lying! Just wait until all of the sporting activities come into play and you are runnig all over the country to get to practices and games! But I wouldn't trade it for anything!

And I thought being married was busy enough!! I can't even imagine trying to do that many things at once. Some nights I just say "heck, we are having scrambled eggs for dinner!" Good for you! Sounds like you are doing a great job. Stay away from chain saws.

Good to get caught back up on your blog and Jadyn's. Glad you had a great Christmas, I knew you would. Just wait until next year...you can't imagine it now, but it will be 10X better. When she can do more exploring and really get excited about stuff...man, it's the best ever.

On a totally unrelated sidenote: Always keep Baby Orajel on hand. It is your friend. Trust me on this. Teething tablets are good too.
