The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Yes, it's fall, my favorite season, and it's getting colder, which means a LOT here in Mississippi. And it's getting closer to Thanksgiving, which means it's getting closer to Christmas. YAY! (By the way, if you're in retail and reading this, PLEASE someone tell me why you put out the Christmas stuff before Halloween is even over. Did you forget there's a holiday in between the two?

This is gonna be a great Christmas, since we now have a child with whom to enjoy it. I know she's way too young to have a clue, but it's still fun getting ready for her First Noel. I think she'll at least get a kick out of the lights. :)

We enjoyed having a daughter for the first time last Christmas and she wasn't even a month old! I think this year will be even better.

You just enjoy being a family!

amanda,

do you feel like a mama yet? sometimes i just look at dillon and wonder HOW this happened! i mean, he is getting so big and roly-poly. he smiles. he waves his hands all around. and he has already been here for two months! it is so amazing - i never want to lose the wonder of it all. :)

Sometimes I feel like a mama, sometimes I half-expect someone to walk in and say "Ok, thanks for watching her, we'll take it from here." I am loving it, except when she's fussy without an obvious reason. Thankfully that's not often.

Yay! A little baby stocking! And Christmas outfits! I'm so excited for this Christmas with Piper, she's old enough to kinda participate now. :)

I think you never lose the wonder of your child because they never stop growing or changing. Our little one was 6 months last Christmas and a 1 1/2 this year. A huge difference! But just as special and exciting for our entire family.

I agree, folks around here just cut out Thanksgiving all together!!! When you find out why, please let me know!

Your holidays will never be the same with children. They really make you think about the true meanings!
