You completely put me to shame for not having finished my 100 Things list on my . In the meantime, I wanted to comment on two items on the list:

7. Watching shows like "Babies: Special Delivery" ...

It's late in the game, but I highly, HIGHLY recommend reading birth stories -- every one you can get your hands on -- that deal with successful births. Because I hadn't planned for my daughter, I had no health insurance to cover maternity/delivery. In the end, I had a home birth, which means I had LOTS of learning to do. Reading about uncomplicated births that went WELL really helped me during those times that I felt I'd lose it, because I realized it was NORMAL. I'm assuming that you plan a hospital birth, but it seriously could help. Just remember that more often than not, NOTHING is wrong.

If you ever want to talk or ask questions about the whole birthing thing, drop in on me -- I usually have Yahoo messenger open: allison_burge

8. I'm serving as the Director of Children's Ministry at my church...

A girlfriend of mine flew back to the Pacific Northwest today to begin just the same position -- and she just learned Saturday that she's pregnant with baby #3. (#1 turned two in June, and #2 is Maya's age...both girls.)

Rachelle is about 11-12 years younger than us, but she has maturity that makes up for the age -- and I imagine you would enjoy knowing her for the baby experience, and she would benefit a LOT from your months getting started with the kids' ministry. If you'd like to hook up with her online, let me know. She'll be off for the next couple weeks until her husband follows behind (he's going to be the youth pastor), but I'm sure she'd love to meet you.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11787895.post-1124137880080356942005-08-15T15:31:00.000-05:002005-08-15T15:31:00.000-05:00You are so funny! Even if she's in another room and hears them on the tv, she'll stop what she's doing and try to find the tv to watch. Others she prefers are the Countrywide Home Mortgage commercials and the Vonage commercials.

2. If you decide you want the epidural, you'll be fine. I personally couldn't wait to get mine and it was great. I honestly didn't feel it. (They give you a little bitty shot to deaden your skin so you don't feel the big one.)

3. I think people should have to pass a driving test to drive a cart in a store.

4. You mean it's NOT all about me? LOL, Just kidding. That drives me nuts too!Jackiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17660691510222379279noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11787895.post-1124023948845974332005-08-14T07:52:00.000-05:002005-08-14T07:52:00.000-05:00#6.
